We argued..
‘What if? Maybe..
thought so, can it be?’
‘Oh! No.. No you see,
it’s one of the tricks!
life’s deadly pricks.’
.
‘Again?’ asked she.
Why couldn’t it be?
life laughed amusingly.
then silence raged.
and she felt caged.
.
‘But why me?
Why the misery?’
asked she bleakly.
Pain followed.
Her soul hollowed.
.
‘I hate thee!
don’t you see?’
echoed life, in glee.
Then it hit,
to her in fit.
.
When she cried..
all life had lied!
though she had tried..
She had failed.
Fate had hailed.
.
Almost lost,
her love’s cost.
Throwed and tossed,
She rose again,
through the pain.
.
To catch her dreams,
hard as it would seem.
With eyes that gleam,
neverthless.
breathless..
.
‘Hope.’,she said..
‘is life’s thread..
to which I tread!
surely someday..
surely someway..
.
I’ll win from yee!
there’ll be a stronger me.
and you’ll give to me,
yourself helplesly
and completly.’
.
‘You amuse me!
Impress me..
And challenged me.
There isn’t any,
reason a many..
.
to decline you,
perish you,
or deny you.
of what you craved,
and all you braved.’
.
said life to me.
And so it be.
My HOPE had won me…
What once was a DREAM.
floating on LIFE’S streams.
