Queen Of Stone.
I whispered “close your eyes and see the skies are falling” all around us
Were “on a hook dangling”
Just twisting my dear
Twisting
“Oh, what you do to me
No one knows”
Piecing me together with lyrics strewn across our floor
One word at a time till I fit right into this shape
“Slashed and I cut, and I do it for you”
Were no more than jagged edges made to mesh
And were strung along “those long long days with no escaping”
But were beautiful with missing parts and painted faces
Where “everything scars the skin”
Its raining all around us and Im twisting in your wind
Ive learned “once you’re lost in twillights’s blue
you don’t find your way, the way finds you”
But we forgot to choose to give up
and were just twisting my dear
Twisting
Were so “greedy in slavery”
Lost the will to save ourselves
And the silence is deafening
Because we know
“No talk will cure what’s lost, or save what’s left”
But Im still grinning in your direction
hook in mouth
“Beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear”
And Im ready to “swallow and chew
Eat you alive”
Just to feel you inside me again
Because once upon a time you made my “every breath an art”
And Id rather kill you than give you up
So I’ll lick you from my skin
When its all said and done
“Don’t look surprised
You must have know all along”
“I never told you it would last forever”
