I wish to be better
A better woman, a better lover, a better friend
Just a better someone in this life I live
Where i am now is not where i wish to be
And where i wish to be is not where i will end up
My life hasn’t been a crystal staircase and the world has yet to reveal itself to me
I search for something, perhaps a love, perhaps a solution, but it fuels me to go on
I don’t know what the future holds, only that it draws near with each coming day
and i can only hope to be at a better place and running a greater race than that of today.
