This is an alternative version to my other work Questioning Of Your Disappearance.

My Darling, it’s alarming.
You’ve been gone, so long.
I called the police to report you missing.
And they came a-fishing,
For answers.
They asked if we argued,
I said there was a feud.
I said that I raised my voice, I shouted.
And that’s when you clouted,
Me.

They asked if I reacted.
Asked if I acted,
Violently.
I said I don’t remember,
Said I’m not an offender.
Said I’d never ever hurt her,
I wouldn’t't even scare her.
But I don’t remember.

They thought just because there was a dispute,
And I was bleeding, I must be a brute.
They asked if I knew of any place you may’ve gone,
Somewhere you might just be.
I said that I called your friends and family,
And they all just said they hadn’t seen you in a while.
This though I said was after I called your mobile,
But I found it on the kitchen table or the counter.
I’m unable to remember.

They asked what we argued about,
What was said to make you lash out.
I said that when you called me a disillusioned old bore,
I called you a nag, an old hag, an old whore.
That’s when you gave me what for.

They asked me to describe your appearance.
Asked what you were wearing,
The night of your disappearance.
But I couldn’t't recall very much at all.
Must’ve been when she smashed the vase,
Over my head.
Or when it hit the stall,
I said.

Then a message through,
On your mobile asking where are you.
It was sent by that fitness instructor.
What the hell,
Then like memory spell.
That’s it, I remember.
She was walking out on me, leaving.
Now her friends and family will be grieving.
I mean what was she thinking having an affair.
Did she really think that I wouldn’t't care.
They asked me again if I knew where she was.
I said I know where she is.
They stare in disbelief.
I said that she is beneath,
She’s down in the cellar.
Where I bloody well killed her.
