Quiet Moments

Sitting on the beach.. watching the sun go down

The colors are red and gold, orange and blue,

The sand on my feet and in between my toes,

the breeze in the trees. The waves hit the shore.

The clouds float quietly past, it is getting dark,

The moon light splashes on the water and across the sky line.

As I sit quietly, there is much to think about, so much to do, so little time.

I have a quiet moment as I listen to the nature all around.

I begin to walk along the beach as the water glides through my toes,

My hair brushes along the side of my face and I brush it back.

With the secrets of my life deep within, only God knows.

There is a reason and a place and time,

Life has a reason for every rhyme.

Searching for answers to life I will never know, I search for one

Quiet moment within my very soul.

I sit on the beach along the wild grass,

I feel the gentle breeze across my face.

I remind myself that there is a reason and a place.

Where our lives go and where we’ll be and who we will be

There is an answer for me, but not now… not today.

Life as we know will never stand still, it is always changing

Like the seasons and the time,

The people in our lives that come and go

We all have a purpose that is un known.

Life is a Journey with many roads to travel

What direction will you take?

We all have our fears we have to face,

We have to learn to face them head on.

For the people in our lives we create the bond, there are smiles and tears

We stick together, some many miles apart, but we have the same language in the same smiles. There will be laughters and tears as well as doubt,

Uniting together in unbroken bond when times are tough,

will help us face the fears that we may have together .

Sitting on the beach.. now the sun has gone down

The colors are navy blue lit up by millions of stars,

The sand on my feet and in between my toes,

the breeze in the trees. The waves hit the shore.

The stars are the sky’s light,

I sit for one quiet moment on the beach thinking to myself

I hear a voice from the sky call down,

“Be not afraid for I am with you always

trust in me and I will give you guidance”

I looked at the skies and the stars sparkled as if they had winked

And I asked the lord one question above all others.

”Why did you make life so hard, why do people have to hurt each other

and why do you allow pain and suffering in the world”?

Then God replied: ”My child, I love you and without all of these things,

you will never learn to stand the trials and tests of time. Most of all,

one will never realize their full potential and strengthen their faith in me. Do

not despair and know that I am always with you and if you trust in me, I will guide you safely through.”

As I sat on the beach looking at the stars,

the waves crashing at my feet and between my toes,

I gazed into the night sky, I reflected on the answer I got,

I searched my heart to find the right words and I was at a loss,….

Then all was quiet for just one moment and I again looked to the sky and smiled and as the stars twinkled, a face smiled back.

Then I knew I had found my quiet moments.
