A love poem about wondering….

I wonder what you wonder about,
In the chaos of the day,
In the still of the night.

Do you recollect a time from then,
When our love was careless,
And the future seemed so bright?

Are your thoughts laced with our innocence,
Woven from our desires,
Or a recap of our dreams?

I can only guess at what you think,
As distance separates,
And nothing is what it seems.

I long to hold you in sweet embrace,
To clear the slate that graphs,
And connect our parted ways.

My soul spikes when it comes to your love,
As my body turns flush,
And my memory replays.

Where would one journey have taken us,
Hand in hand, side by side,
On one path instead of two?

I wonder what you wonder inside,
And if you feel me now,
Quietly reflecting You.

Great poem. Provides the the thought process that I’m sure many of us feel…wondering what “might” have happened. The only problem is that if you keep thinking about the past…you can never move into the future, but then again, who ever said that the future was going to be better???
