This poem deals with the issue of racism in American society with a religious twist.
People judge others by the color of their skin. What has become of this great nation. Blacks were captured from Africa and other black nations. They were brought to the USA in over crowded ships. and sold to the highest bidder. They were considered as property with little or no respect. Did God not create us all equal? We should be ashamed of ourselves for letting such hatred happen. In the days of slavery and even within these days and times. We see racism wherever we go. Regardless of attempts from President Lincoln or Martin Luther King. We cannot escape such racism within our society today. May it be silent or heard out loud. It all boils down the same. Their just like you and me. The only difference is the color of their skin!
