A descriptive poem describing what it’s like through someone’s eyes to have someone grow distant to you, most likely from past incidents that have traumatized the person in a sense.
Third Eye Blind inspired me to write this due to their lyrics being able to relate to alot of incidents I’ve been able to experience with others and myself.

On a good day, your skin is of a feather’s,
you make paths of your own, satisfying only your hunger.
People never cease to grasp ahold,
for your ownership of what’s right has dulled.
You walk your road, only speaking volume.
Everyone hears you, but it isn’t loud enough.
The world must know, although your modesty doesn’t agree.
I do not intend on leaving you here,
I intend to watch you, until you are able to be touched.
Sometimes the sun reflects your hatred, but didn’t it make you happy?
You avoid the cracks in the street as you bite your nails,
as you despise me every inch of the way.
You cannot break something that is no longer there,
and you fill in the void with second best.
Sometimes the sun reflects your happiness, but didn’t it make you angry?
You convince me you’re gone, on a good day.
It kills me to live in ignorance, to the fact that your best may very well be that of a feather’s.
