The cruel effects of war on the innocent.

Rag doll, rag doll
Small and adorn
With figs and cotton
Left on the floor.
A gun shot down
Four angels in the sky.
I wonder where we all sleep tonight.
The wind speaks to wolves
Who cry for rag doll
Left on the ground.
Rag doll, rag doll
Who shall comfort you
With the warmth of a blanket
To love your soul?
I hear a pin drop
And a grenade explodes.
Nothing could be done
But look to the light
That follows us around
While clinging to the rag doll
Left on the ground.

Beautiful poem. I wrote something kind of like this called Stuffed Bear. I’m have to submit that soon. This was a wonderful piece full of emotion. Great job.
