Another poem.

Rain falls
Slowly, then quicker and
Quicker still
The tiny droplets fall
Like a thousand tears
Puddles accumulate along lazy, winding driveways
Whispering streams trickle down sidewalks and
Tumble helplessly down open gutters
A ghostly fog hangs over
Soggy lawns
Tired trees hang lifelessly
Their leaves weighed down by the heavy drops
An eerie silence watches over the street
A single light sends a
Watery beam of hope down the winding driveway
Waiting patiently for teh sun to reappear
