I love the rain.

Water trickling down my face.

Seems to wet me in every space.

I feel the dampness all over me.

Being wet makes my clothes heavy.

I open my mouth, it touches my tongue.

I feel a cold sensation when this is done.

I love to see the rain drops fall.

What a smell it makes in the air as I recall.

When the rain stops.

I watch the last drop.

The clouds start to break away

The Sun bursts out and clears the gray.

I can’t wait until the next rain day comes.

So I can continue my wet and wonderful fun.

The rain is magic, isn’t it? Everything seems cleaner after a good rain. Rain gives life to the earth and the earth gives life to us.

Your poem reminds me of my childhood. I used to dance and sing in the middle of the rain. Now, you wrote it beautifully in your poem. Thanks for sharing!
