THX IN ADVANCE.

“Rainy Night”

Another rainy night, standing on my porch.

With the fire in my eyes, i could write a torch.

With a torch in my hands, light the gas in my veins.

You really can’t complain, cause you haven’t felt my pain.

I flex, stretch, and strain, trying to stay out of the rain.

Just a hazard to society, cause I’m a giant flame.

When i walk down the street, people running from my heat.

Then they light themselves on fire, cause they all want to compete.

Like the people that they are, junkies slumped outside a bar.

If your looking for a dealer, then you don’t have to look far.

If your looking for a fight, then I’m looking for a spar.

If your serious about it, then you’ll wake up in a jar.

Now I’m on a roll, but my flame’s about to dim.

And in case you all don’t know my name, my homies call me Tim.

This is one of THE best poems I’ve read in awhile – - truly.

It’s captivating – gritty, real, raw, substantial – - storytelling – - full of an incredible command of the written word. I can’t wait to read more of your work.

    I love it.

    Blessings.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.
