A poem about human nature.

Rats’ em all

Quite a few, yes many like us

Unfurl others’ weaknesses untold

Without a fuss

They so behave all of ‘em

Like rats behave, rats’ em all

Have you not seen the movie?

‘Sink the Titanic’

When the ship was sinking

Most of ‘em jumped over board

Like rats, rats’ em all

The only ones who stuck like plastering glue

Were the Captain and others,

Though very, very few

The musicians played

Till the end

When the beautiful girl

With her handsome boy friend

Rocked each other

Rather uncaringly,

In full view of all in all

They fell in sexual love after all

Except them, wow, a beautiful couple

All were like rats, rat’s em all

Do you understand what I say?

Some of us thus actually betray

When others sunkenly weep

We don’t try to really dig deep

We abandon one and all

Ah! You see some of us are

Like bloating rats after all

Yes all of ‘em, big and small

Yes some of us actually are

Like those rats,

Rat’s ‘em all
