Before a storm comes, dark clouds cover the once blue sky. Trees sway, kind of rattle, in the wind that comes before a storm. Rains just sprinkle for awhile, dampening life outside. The sun doesn’t show itself during a storm. But the sun will come out once everything is alright.

dark clouds paint
the once blue sky
winds pick up
carrying with it
things miles away
nobody had seen
or felt within themselves
sprinkles fall
lightly dampening
the cement of life,
nature too
wish it would pour
so everything could be
washed away for awhile
but what’s the use
because when the sun comes out
then everything else will too
the wind continues
rattling the trees
