Blunt poem about trying to fit in to something you should never want to be a part of: mediocrity.
friends I have forgotten
forget me
lovers who have gone before
I was ready to leave you
hate me still
family who have stood beside me
waiting for some brilliance
realize that you’ve seen my best
regret me
enemies mine, I’ll sit with you
have a drink or eight
enjoy this feeling of disappointment
bitterness, and emerald envy
welcome me
for in myself now lies everything
I hated about you.
