A poem on authority.

I’m powerless in front of you,

So I destroy myself.

I’m weak and you are strong

Inside your golden cage

That only you can break.

There’s nothing I can do to you,

So I consume myself.

The innocent will always pay

Your crimes will go unpunished,

Have you the courage to descend among us,

to hear our words of hate?

The streets would kill you,

But from your golden cage, you are the master.

I kill myself trying to get to you,

You’re cold and powerful, and I am nothing.
