Recipe for Love
What is your recipe for love?
have you written it down?
Do you have a formula
you stick with?
Or have you tossed the recipe
down the drain
and you can’t come up with
a new one to light your fire?
Have you lost the match or the flint
to get your recipe for love
burning up the night?
You can’t see the glow
from your fire burning brightly?
This is because you didn’t
want to follow your recipe for love.
A recipe for love
is built on trust, faith, happiness and hope.
Did you forget that
and not follow your heart?
If you seem to remember,
your recipe for love
flows through your veins
and is a warm crimson red.
It flows through your whole body
and lights a path to your soul.
Your heart hasn’t forgotten,
but there’s been wood glue
stuck in your brain.
Scrape up that glue
and open up your mind
and you will once again
find your recipe for love.
It’s yours and yours alone.
