Bleh. Love.

I’ve done it now.

Laid my heart on the line

And am waiting patiently

for my time.

When will I have real love

not some fling?

I need a passion

that really means something.

The books, poems, and films

aren’t close to true.

In fact they hinder

and make me feel blue.

‘Cause I feel like

I’ll never have that person

to hold me close

and tell me I’m the one.

The one girl in their life

that makes them complete

In obvious love-

solid as concrete.

A man that actually

longs to be near

to watch movies or cuddle

or do anything to be here.

Will I ever find that?

I’m not quite sure.

‘Cause things in the past

were never, ever pure.

And I’m sick of being played

or built up to break down.

And I think I’m worth more than

to be let down.

So fine, do whatever you want

But you’ll come to find

that what you passed up

was bigger than all the world’s love combined.
