Red Pteranodon , that graced our planet’s skies,

so many millions of years ago.

It now seems so unreal that did you actually exist?

All we have now are some preserved fossilised remains

displayed in museums, suspended from the ceilings,

but I prefer to remember you in your living form,

gliding high up above, free and gracefully

in your own prehistoric landscape.
