while my flesh was inprisioned

my weary soul was forced to focus my vision

on redemption from negativities fiendish inventions.

they developed in the dimensions of my innocent years.

they were so demonic and they tortured me with invincible fears

that dismantled my capacity to walk in the light.

life was dark, and that disabled me to live it upright.

no insight of holy creeds, so i decided to run

into danger with iniquities turning me numb

to the pain that i received in attempts to get by.

but the spirit of my being was seeking out the MOST HIGH.

meditation in retribution brought this truth to my view.

inspirational supplications delivered strength as i grew

within steel and stone walls, while psychologically torn.

only spiritually, it is written, can a man be reborn

and experience the anointing and the promise of peace.

therefore, spiritually i sought to be set free from the beast.
