These are just my scribbles on the palindrome – a word, phrase or other text that reads the same forwards and backwards. Forgive the errors. Experimenting with words and phrases. Featuring my favorite fictional couple, Mina and Hwang.

A word palindrome of non-rhyming couplets:

Hwang and Mina are lovers.
Lovers are Mina and Hwang.

Hwang loves Mina.
Mina loves Hwang.

Hwang protects Mina.
Mina protects Hwang.

Yearning for one another.
Another one for yearning.

Wanting each other.
Other, each wanting. 

Defending of honor.
Honor of defending.

Friends and lovers.
Lovers and friends.

Together forever.
Forever together.

Always holding hands.
Hands, holding always.

Kissing sweet and evermore tender.
Tender evermore and sweet kissing.

Gentle caresses that touch.
Touch that caresses gentle.

Beauty evoking the heart.
Heart, the evoking beauty.

Cherished affections reverberating.
Reverberating, affections cherished.

A word-unit palindrome showcasing the reversal in the second half:

Hwang and Mina are lovers.
Hwang loves Mina.
Hwang protects Mina.
Yearning for one another.
Wanting each other.
Defending of honor.
Friends and lovers.
Together forever.
Always holding hands.
Kissing sweet and evermore tender.
Gentle caresses that touch.
Beauty evoking the heart.

    I think you show tremendous skill. These poems all work well. Have you ever tried to write a sestina? They’re hard, but I think you could do it.
