REGARDING VALENTINE’S DAY

It’s a day of hearts and flowers,

a day for celebrating love,

a day for Cupid’s love matching,

a day of sweets and those love doves

all cooing sweet endearments,

soft whispers in our ear

that melt our heart with joy and gladness

when we hear, “I love you, dear,

and I’ll love you forever,

until the sun no longer shines

and the moon no longer lights the night,

you’re my forever valentine”…

And we lap it up like honey,

these “sweet somethings” in our ear

and hold those love words in our heart

until this time next year when we’re

anticipating hearts and flowers

and those sweet words, “I love you, dear.”
