This is for those who wish they would have done things differently.

Take a look in the mirror

It doesn’t get any clearer

You’re the one to blame

for not having a respectful name

Stop pointing fingers at others

Pull back the covers

and expose the truth

You’re the one who stole your youth

It wasn’t your parents

or your environment

No one forced you

to give up your innocence

You just wanted to be down

with the so-called popular crowd of the town

Now you realize

that being one of those guys

wasn’t what you really wanted out of life

What you really wanted

was kids, a dog and a wife

Damn, I hate that feeling. Your poem has portrayed the idea clearly.

    Thumbs up!

It is so sad you have to learn the hard way. Nicely expressed.
