Except for
The occasional ripple
On the lake
Disturbing
Not the depths
But only the surface
That which is seen
Life
We sometimes experience
Momentary disturbances
In the calmness
Of each day
That distract
The mind and its
Endeavors
React
Not to
The distractions
But, rather act upon
Set goals and directions
Allowing not
The disturbances of life
To control outcome
