It hurts to know that they were your world but you were not theirs.

Do you remember,
the ashes falling from the September sky,
do you remember,
when I would cry?

Do you remember,
last December,
when you said we would be together,
together forever,
but all we did was lose it all,
and our love came tumbling down
like a big brick wall.

Do you remember,
last September,
the leaves falling from the, sky,
and you were there for me,
when I was about to cry?

Do you remember,
the love we shared,
how you always would be there,
now you’re gone,
like the thin dark air.

Now, that you’re gone,
Do you still remember,
the memories, the kisses,
the embraces? do you
remember anything at all?

Do you remember anything…at all?

I like it. Especially the end. Itleaves the reader thinking, ya know?
