You may feel the painful,

                  long hours dragging,

With darkness engulfing

                   your night of sorrow,

But may not feel your heart

                    broken and sagging,

When the sun rises 

                     with your spirit tomorrow.

When you think the whole world

                       is empty of love

And all your endeavors

                        to be vanishing bubbles,

Visualize a new day

                          with the blue sky above,

And a new way to conquer 

                            some of your troubles. 

When you stand up and feel

                             a surge of new hope,

And breathe the fresh air

                              of faith imbued

In your altered thoughts,

                                you may regain the scope

Of your erstwhile dreams

                                 once more renewed,

While back on the path

                                    where the sun shines bright 

You may count your blessings

                                     again and again,

That you haven’t surrendered

                                      to that dark of night
