This is a poem I wrote to describe how I feel when at school.

Hiding in the darkness

Afraid to come out

There is a beautiful girl

Masked in ugly solitude.

She wants so bad to talk to you

But something holds her back.

Quiet and self-conscious

Hesitant to make the first move.

Deep in her shell

Stuck in the past

Desperately seeking a way out

Forever trapped.

Trying to get help

Frustration rising

For no one understands

The war she is fighting.

Good poem! I think a lot of people feel like this in high school. I was always shy as a kid, but as I was in high school longer, I became more comfortable and figured out fast who would be my friends :)
