Restore My Sight

Lord, before You created humanity,
You spoke creation words,  “Let there be light!”
It must have been an awesome sight,
To see the fleeing of the night.
Please share with me once again your marvious light,
Remove the curse of my increasing night.
This morning as the sun shines on the colorful flowers,
They are benefitting from the bath of the evening showers,
Please help me once again to see clearly this wonderful sight.

Lord, if once again I could fully see,
I would be content as I could be.
I would be like one from bondage set free.
If my eyes you could restore,
I would focus my sight on your desires for me,
I would pray to be content with less, not more.
And for fulfillment to come from pleasing Thee.

I dream of once again seeing my darling’s face.
Please answer my prayer and give me this grace?
Lord I have this priority request from Thee.
Free the dark shaows over my eyes, so I can see.
Remember, in the mornings, how I spent time with You,
Early in the day walking through the grassy dew,
As the sun awakened I was praising You.
Out of the darkness the light always came shinning through.
I promise, to never again be a slave to my wants,
If only once again I can see the sky of blue.
