This is a poem I wrote late at night (early in the morning?)

Results of a Pop Culture

The author writes more and more
but the pages remain the same
The merchant grows richer and richer
but his profit will never change
What roads do we travel
when the mapmaker has lost his way
What bridges do we build
when all the blueprints look the same

Why would you read a book
that’s no different from the last
What good does you a fortune
whose wealth depletes so fast
If you wish to travel roads
and build bridges to lands anew,
Maps and schematics will get you so far
the rest is up to you.
