A cross awaited
That appointed day.
The nails were fated
To provide the way.

Saving the world from sin,
You gave of Your holy life.
So life wouldn’t have an end,
But an eternal life to thrive.

As You were resurrected from the grave,
So too, resurrect me in Your love.
Renew life in me in Your Name
From the storehouse above.

Resurrect in me a simple peace,
A surreal rest in You.
Giving Your all, a newness was released
When You rose from the tomb.

Resurrect in me a heart to dream
And to live my every day
The way You want me to be;
Ever devoted to Your way.

Resurrect me to show others all You gave
To tell the world how death You defeated
In the way of a cross and an empty grave.
Of eternal life Jesus pleaded.
