Elaboration on my dad’s famous words "When a thing reaches to perfection, it returns to its origin".
This is a tribute to him on his Fifth Death Anniversary 26th November 2009.
Not a day goes by without thinking about you…

Like a comet, blazing across the evening sky,

I look up to the Unknown and wondering why.

Did you have to go when they called you away??

Couldn’t you have stayed on to leave another day??

So many questions asking me how and why??

I sit down and wonder and it makes me cry.

For my time with you meant everything to me,

Why couldn’t the Creator leave us family?

Then I hear this voice inside me say,

I would be there if I had my way.

To stand as a family, I think about each day,

The spirit’s all I have as my shell rots away.

Like a majestic lone eagle that soars and flys away,

Looking through the white clouds, I saw you at me smile today,

Telling me gently that you are now happy, wild and free,

Becoming immortalised in life’s unknown mystery,

Oh!! for the great pain that stabs my heart,

Oh!! for the grief that tears me apart.

Each day I remember you with tears in my eyes,

Asking those dreaded questions of hows, whats and whys.

For the words of great wisdom that makes me stand tall,

Words of encouragement that pick me when I fall.

The tender love, guidance with nurture and care,

The solemn promise ,you would always be there.

These are your true words that are cherished the most,

Although you are away from this mortal post.

Would you come back, if you had one day??

Would you do it if you had your way???

If I had my way, I would be here to stay,

But I am with you every step of the way.

My family means everything in life to me,

All of you are precious and will always be.

I was born on earth to do a task,

To walk this world and wear a mask.

To leave a small message and make a mark,

Soar like an eagle or sing like a lark.

My task here on Earth is complete you see,

I am forever and part of life’s infinity.

Just a drop in Life’s vast unending deep sea,

In the land of accomplishment, my Eternity.

I am a perfect flower, that’s beyond your reach,

I left several footprints on your moistened beach.

Each memory I left may you learn it perfection,

And make it your pathway of actions’ reflection.

For the life we lead is all part of the book,

Each chapter we do write is how we would look.

Each action we create is unique, wild and free,

To generate love and create a memory.

Each memory we create is our life’s reflection,

With actions creation based on our selection.

For when living things reach its utmost perfection,

It’s snatched away to Return to its Origin.

Anisha…What a beatiful love song dedicated to your Father and his sweet memories. There is great rejoicing in the great beyond because a darling daughter has bestowed great honour to her dear departed Father. Thoughts of support and condolence are sent your way today. All fathers could do to have a devoted daughter such as you. Thank you.

I was a bit scared with the message of this poem.. I was inspired with the poignant words used though…

Very touching. I feel the same about my grandfather, especially in October. I always thought he’d leave of old age, not a tragic accident. Been 5 years and still hurts.
