I arrived in Kathmandu
Its not a place I would commend even if I wanted to
The airport looked abysmal
Naming it international seemed unusual.
Returning home
I bought my ticket and excited was I
The engine started and the plane took to the sky
I knew where I was going
As I boarded the Boeing
As the flight continued, I had a pleasant surprise
The journey was better than I thought, it was nice
They called it Jet Airways
There was plenty of leg space
Staying warm was not a problem
They served acceptable food, I quickly gobbled them
The cabin crew seemed friendly
There were movies to choose, they were plenty
New Delhi was the place for my transit
The airport was massive but I made it
I felt the place was well run
Although working there did not seem too fun
The transit airbus was a disappointment
Travelling in an old crammed airplane with occasional flies is not really enjoyment
I arrived in Kathmandu
Its not a place I would commend even if I wanted to
The airport looked abysmal
Naming it international seemed unusual
The checks were rather pointless, more of a joke
Where was the guy supposed to mend the scanner, gone for a leak or having coke
Good news is, I got through smoothly
Come to think of it now, I got through easily
I was greeted with open arms, hugs and kisses
I felt overjoyed, many years of misses
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
It made sense, no wonder
Being with the family seemed like nothing else mattered
I had returned home and it would be a while before we scattered
