A poem about falling in love…again.

Love…it is in the air again,
Knocking at my heart’s door.
The sensation is all-alluring,
And I have been here before.
Anxious love…it bites the flesh,
And permeates the maze,
Softens the stone,
And holds my gaze.
Familiar is the heartache,
Where I scream and no one hears,
All-consuming,
As I sob with no more tears.
But, again I take this journey,
That drives my heart to be still,
As I long for satiety,
For love alone to fill.
Love…it is the fire that blinds,
Yet draws me to its flame,
Fixed for my soul addiction,
Never to be the same…
Here I go again…
