Thinking of a loved one when not able to sleep.

As I could never sleep

To you I thought my love

When you and I were happy

Sharing the warmest day ever

Of an endless Summer

Flowers were all around

My hand in your hand

You said it would never end

And so we strolled,

Joy had turned us mad

Why am I now so sad?

And as your silhouette

Looms out of the past,

It seems the dice is cast

But when you come back,

It will never be dark

We will rise with the lark

And walk again to the park.

It’s sad to be parted from the one you love…but in love we also find hope for wonderful things yet to come.

Your words have such maudlin tones yet hopefull too. Well carried with cluster words to create good imagery and feel throughout the piece.I liked it very much.

I hope you not only rise with the lark but be like the lark, calling out in joyful song and standing tall while holding ground. Keep your flight steady and sharpen your sight, for even if that dear one never comes back,a lasting happiness well deserved shall one day fly and land on your lap… if you never stop believing. All the best, my brother. Take care.
