All life is one divided only by fear and ignorance.

My name is Robert Rattlesnake

And before you recoil in fear

I beg you listen carefully

And to me give an ear

You say you fear me greatly

Could never be my friend

Yet how am I so different

Please try to comprehend

We fear what we don’t understand

Until we do perceive

That mother earth belongs to all

And all she did conceive

You say you fear my venom

Yet I need shielding too

All have their predators

The greatest one is you

If we could but know again

That all of life is one

That family we are all

Beneath a common sun

Fear is the great divider

Ignorance truth untold

Love must someday unite us

A new order to unfold

Mother earth is calling us

Urgent is her cry

Unite as one my children

The time for truth is nigh

Loved your verses. We get a lot of snakes around our home as we have woods all around. We try to run them back into the woods but sometimes our dogs get them.
