In this poem I describe the sensation of seemingly falling through the crushed stone, raked in waves, into a spirit-realm.

Rock Garden of Ryoanji-dera

Yellow earthen wall

envelopes crushed white

stone raked in waves

by lone Buddhist monk

around mossy rocks

jutting high into

human consciousness,

but the longer one

stares the farther he

falls through the stones

into a deep abyss

of pure spirit which

may at first frighten

him if he should think

this world is made

of solid substance

as yellow earthen wall

with crushed white stone

and jutting mossy rocks

make it seem to be.

I suspect this was a pretty good poem. a booze ad blacked it out.

Sorry a booze add blacked it out–it’s set in Kyoto, Japan and describes the overwhelming impact of that rock garden on the spirit and psyche.

    The Buddhist: sat chit ananda
Meditation getting closer to the spirit realm.
This is an amazing succinct poem!!!
