Bi polar roller coaster.

On this bi-polar roller coaster

I hide in the shade

because I don’t want to get closer.

The ups and Downs seem to have no meaning

but on the loop the loops

i can’t stop screaming.

There is no middle its one or the other

and when it goes down

i just run for cover.

Friends don’t seem to understand

so I need you

to take my hand.

Just squeeze it tight until it’s gone

the go right back

to square one.

Those with mental illness need their friends to just be supportive. It is amazing how many people do not understand the concepts of mental illness and have no idea what to do when a loved one or friend is affected.

Wonderfully done poem with the use of a perfect metaphor.

I have a friend who has a bi-polar spouse, and from what he says, its better 4 everybody when the bi-polar person takes the medication the dr gave them.
