A real cartoon couple.

O Romeo do come hither! Release your empty slither of love
Encase it within my pale breast, may this be our eternal dove
The world may never quip nor penetrate such a steeled presence
Do not offer any greet, be it of substance or of habitual leak
Disregard any foreign, outlandish jests, these falsities pose burning threat
Shout from the hills the trees and the shores “you are mine!” always and forever
But do ensure the world is asleep, judging eyes and ears ever in the dark
For this colourful secret of ours must remain forever behind bars
This reflection is all we entail; thoughts of others make me fickle and frail
Within a world so tainted, behind the plastic veil you are all that I see
I beg you Romeo, with such blind conviction, make a man out of me
