While young and raising our families, our roots attach strongly to the earth. As we age, we prepare to let go.

When young our roots grow strong and deep
Families to raise and work to be done
We cling to the earth and become as one
If we are lucky one day we’ll grow old
Our roots will loosen prepare to let go

We will follow the wind like a tumble weed
Blown here and there light as a breeze
Float like a feather glide like a bee
No roots to hold us our spirits at ease
Our love flowing out to humanity

We will follow the rainbow spirit laid bare
As loose and free as wild birds in the air
No strings attached to this earthly sphere
Happy to go where ever its blown
Our spirit will guide us all safely home

That’s as good way to put is as I have seen. We are children of nature, and thats all there is for it.
