Another ancient poem of mine.

Drinking a Ruby Slipper,
I am Dorothy, searching for the Wiz,
Make it all better, take me home…
I can tap my heels together until my feet fall off,
I will still be here.
As I drown in every sip, slippery sweet,
I think of you,
And choke on my own misguided thoughts.
I want to relive every day,
Reform every moment,
And stay far from the grasp of weakened hearts.
I am still beyond the boundaries of the sane.
The fire flickering in your eyes drove me to chance,
Kiss the dice and let them roll,
I still don’t know where they’ll fall…
But I know that absence is torture,
You have your ignorant bliss,
The karmic wheel has been spun,
And whatever fate befalls me will be yours.
So take my hand, tap your heels together,
and take me home.
