My tattered soul is running on empty

my gas gauge is as empty as it can be.

My four tires need replaced immediately,

the windshield needs replaced as well.

Please don’t look at the rust and dents,

they show the mileage on my heart.

The last mechanic did not do so well,

he didn’t put back what he took apart.

                        ****

My motor probably needs cleaned up,

To me,a stanza was out of place but as a whole it was a very good poem about moving on and living s one should.

I enjoyed, I liked how you described a personal relationship through the word of a vehicle. Thank you!
