Sacrificial Freedom.
fly away into the night
i can’t even see you anymore
spread your wings and leave forever
and forget to say goodbye
i don’t want to watch you go
forever i’m lost without you
without you close to me
you’re the glue holding my heart together
but superglue, you’re not
even duct tape peels away
but as they fall, with your remains
you take pieces of my shattered heart
take them away forever
i’m finally becoming
what you think I am
heartless and cold
my soul and emotion for you
withering like a dying rose
you can have my petals
where i’m going they’ll decay
falling apart, shattering slowly
while on winged rapture you soar
wishing quietly that i’d fade and die
but wishing gets you nowhere
