Just got in a small accident, and it got me thinking how fortunate I was.
One second-just one-yields so much power. You don’t need centuries or scores or decades or years or days or hours or even minutes to scar a life. You may not even need a full second. In just one second, life is a myriad times complicated. Life may be compelled to finish its course. And for the fortunate ones, life is merely burdened by the reality of heavy potential outcomes. So be grateful for every second that allowed you to live until this second. Be thankful even for the seconds of monotony and boredom. Praise those seconds you overlooked when you were angry at a loved one or when you were distracted with the trivial and the mundane. Treat each second as if it lasted forever. It may serve you forever. Not every second is guaranteed, and neither does every second guarantee anything. You take it as it comes, and make the best of it.
