Sad child

Parents neglect

Painful journey

Dangerous trek

You must be strong

To survive

Please sad child

Stay alive

Cries of danger

Cries of fear

Please hold on

Help is near

Sad child

One day

You’ll wipe those tears away

And hear pleasant songs

To dance and play
