This is about my very dear friend, who at one point scared the wits out of me, when I found out she was a self-harmer. It’s hard for not only those who do it, but those who care about them.
Show them you care. <3.

She’s so addicted to the pain,

silently crying through this rain,

the blade is how she copes,

slowly running dry of laughter and hope,

In the big hard world,

she feels so small,

tried her very best, but takes baby steps,

though it’d be safer to crawl.

She can’t find her place,

she’s losing the race,

everyone else thinks she’s insane,

it’s not her fault, she’s just miserable without pain,

she’s addicted.

The blade is how she copes,

finally ran dry of laughter and hope,

no escape from the dark?

It can cut deeper than skin,

And leave an everlasting mark.

Please, stop.

For you, for me, for all of us who truly care.

You are loved.
