There isn’t a day that goes by,
That my mind doesn’t ask me why.
Why is it that salt water
Always fi ll these hazel colored eyes?
Why is it the heart is always
The fi rst that dies?
How is it that raindrops fall
From the clear blue skies?
Oh, Lord
Won’t you help me make it through
Just-another day
And take away the rain clouds
Standing in my way?
There isn’t a year that rolls by,
That my heart doesn’t feel the pain
Of standing in the cold salt-water rain,
That’s falling from these hazel colored eyes,
Forming dark clouds
To grace the clear blue skies,
Causing my mind to go insane.
Oh, Lord
Won’t you help me see it through
To the coming of your day,
By taking away the teardrops
That kept falling to this day.
