Afrocentric poetry.

A heritage filled with treasures and wealth imprisoned in a temple clothed by western minds sets and attitudes.
Queens walking among us concealing their crowns with non-indigenous colors and styles
Because a backward people set the standard of beauty and grace
A place of shame is like a revolving door
Many entering lost to the knowledge of self
A glorious past replaced with a slave masters salvation
Thankful to be rescued from a place of paradise and abundance filled with precious gems and stones
Colonizers ran rapid upon your ancestral lands spreading disease myths and lies
As they plundered and ravished their bellies grew full while the indigenous grew weak
Founding fathers grew prosperous from the blood of your ancestors
Descendants of Klansmen in seats of power dictate policy and procedure
Annihilation of your spirit is business as usual
Denying your Africaness becomes the norm like the designer fashions that are worn
