This was hard for me to write.

당신이 사랑하는 아버지.

When you have a loved one affected by a fatal disease, there is a great sense of helplessness, not knowing what to do. You wish you can somehow take the that illness away – saving them somehow. I’m struggling with this right now, feeling powerless with tears constantly falling. I’m unable to put it into words, not wanting to write. All I can do is pray and hope. A song by the group Simple Plan helps me express how I feel. Lead singer Pierre Bouvier has stated this song deals with his brother’s (Jay Bouvier) battle with cancer.

“Save You”
Songwriters: Comeau, Charles-Andre/ Bouvier, Pierre/ Lanni, Arnold

Take a breath
I pull myself together
Just another step until I reach the door
You’ll never know the way it tears me up inside to see you
I wish that I could tell you something
To take it all away

Sometimes I wish I could save you
And there’s so many things that I want you to know
I won’t give up till it’s over
If it takes you forever I want you to know

When I hear your voice
It’s drowning in the whispers
It’s just skin and bones
There’s nothing left to take
And no matter what I do I can’t make you feel better
If only I could find the answer
To help me understand

Sometimes I wish I could save you
And there’s so many things that I want you to know
I won’t give up till it’s over
If it takes you forever I want you to know

That if you fall, stumble down
I’ll pick you up off the ground
If you lose faith in you
I’ll give you strength to pull through
Tell me you won’t give up cause I’ll be waiting if you fall
You know I’ll be there for you

If only I could find the answer
To take it all away

Sometimes I wish I could save you
And there’s so many things that I want you to know
I won’t give up till it’s over
If it takes you forever I want you to know

I wish I could save you
I want you to know

I wish I could save you

Official music video for “Save You” – featuring cancer surviors, including lead singer Pierre Bouvier’s brother, Jay.

I won’t be made useless
I won’t be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear

My prayers are with you. Even though this was hard to write, I’m sure that it helped you vent your feelings. I’m sure that you can relate to this video. My name is Jessica, how about covering your boobies. Last time that I checked this was a writing website.

I am sorry to hear that you have a loved one that is going through this. I know how you feel because I had a relative that was going through health issues. I am glad that the song can help you feel better.

Hi Lady Sunshine, I feel what you are going through, my prayers are with you and your loved ones. I hope this will help you in some small way, “there are many things that we cannot understand, but we must trust God’s wisdom and be guided safely by his hand”. I know this was hard for you to write and my heart goes out to you!!
