Hero…

Image via Wikipedia

Out of the blue you came, and into my life, on a meandering path, deep within the forest.

You found me, hidden in my castle walls, a prisoner of my shame, sitting on my throne of anguish.

You would climb the walls around me, scaling my despair, and into my desolate heart.

You showed me how to love, shattering my sorrow, leaving footprints upon my very being, promising to return…

Don’t leave me here all alone, trapped within myself, locked in my head.

Don’t make me close one more door.

Free me from my misery, let my soul soar, save me from myself.

…And you would comeback, breaking down the walls, releasing me from my tomb, destroying my sadness.

You were the key to my salvation, unlocking my soul.

You released me, my eternal paladin, my champion evermore.

You set me free.
