In memory of all the soldiers who fought and died in the Gallipoli wars.

Say that I am a soldier
Say that I am saving your lives
Say that I am saving our flag
Say that I am your child mom,
Say that I am proud of you
I am proud of being a child of you

Say that
I went to the battlefield
And think that
I may never come back
Know that
A bullet will make a hole in my heart
Know that
I will fall down one day in the battlefield

Don’t cry
When you hear my bad news
When you feel that
You will never hear my voice again
You will never see me again
Say that
He was a soldier
Who died for this country
Who died for us

But know that ,mom
We will hug each other
May be not here
May be in heaven
Where our souls come together again

Very sad, and well written. The end could use a bit of defintion, though. Thanks for sharing.
